RDU International Airport, an east coast hub, ranks as one of the nation's fastest-growing airports and serves Durham and the rest of the Triangle region of North Carolina. RDU is located at the edge of Wake County, midway between the cities of Durham and Raleigh, which co-own the airport along with the counties of Durham and Wake.
