Update!

Any AAU athlete who resides in Region 25 (state of North Carolina) and places in the top six (6) per event in the 2019 USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships (June 25 – June 30, 2019 in Durham, NC) upon receipt of proper documentation will be waived into the AAU Junior Olympic Games. Documentation and the written request must be received no later than June 16, 2019. Requests received after June 16, 2019 will not be reviewed

2019 Youth Outdoor Schedule of Events

This is an invitational meet and has no qualification standards, except for the starting heights for high jump and pole vault (which can be found below). For those looking to attend the 2019 AAU Junior Olympics, AAU has determined that athletes receiving a mark in this meet automatically qualify for the 2019 AAU Junior Olympics.

Packet Pick-up

Coaches and unattached athletes will be able to pick up their competition numbers and related materials in the Packet Pick-up according to the following schedule:

Monday, June 24th: 12 noon  – 7pm
Tuesday, June 25th – Saturday, June 29th : 9 am – 5 pm
Sunday, June 30th: 9 am – 1 pm

at the
Durham County Memorial Stadium.

Opening Ceremonies

USATF Night with the Durham Bulls:
The Triple-A Minor League Baseball team Durham Bulls are excited to host participants and fans of the National Championship at USATF Night on Wednesday, June 26th when they host the Norfolk Tides at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. All athletes are invited to participate in a pre-game Parade of Champions that will start at 6:20 PM.

Athletes will need to purchase a ticket to the game to participate. Tickets to the game can be purchased using the following link

Starting Heights Info



Refer to USATF Rule 302.5(n). All competitors must provide their own vaulting poles. Vault athletes must report to be weighed with their bib numbers and poles based on the schedule below. All poles will be inspected for manufacturers’ pole ratings and the maximum top hand hold position as determined by the manufacturer. The competitors’ weights must be at or below the manufacturers’ pole ratings. NO EXCEPTIONS. Poles will be impounded at the time of inspection.  Athletes will pick-up their poles and report to the competition site at time of warm-up for the event.

Athletes shipping poles to Durham must email erin@durhamncsports.com   with their tracking information and notification that their pole has been shipped.  Erin will confirm pole arrival with each athlete.
